Laboratory Services

JSC Equine Laboratory was established in 1994 by Sue Challacombe to provide a quality, reliable diagnostic service to the Equine Veterinary Practitioner in the South West of England and beyond.

British Equine Veterinary Association LogoThe Laboratory concentrates on a select and specialised range of diagnostic and fitness tests ranging from IgG levels for the new born foal, through to fitness checks for the racehorse and is a BEVA Registered Laboratory (formerly a HBLB approved laboratory since 1995) to test and to certify for CEMO, Klebsiella Pneumoniae and Pseudomonas Aeruginosa, all of which are carried out in-house by Sue Challacombe.

JSC Equine Lab participates in Vetqas® which is the Proficiency Testing service provided by VLA Scientific. Excellent links have been established for many years with external labs for EVA/EIA serology and Rabies testing.

The Laboratories prices are always competitive and individual packages can be arranged with discounts available. Samples should be posted first class (pre-paid postage labels are available) or they can be delivered in person to the Laboratory 7 days a week.
